Hi, I picked up my 850 MK2 roadster last month. A former collegue knew I really liked this bike as I put one together for an uncle 30 years ago. He offered me his one for a price I could not resist. That former one was an 850 MK2 also, but with the Interstate tank and seat. It had a front Grimeca 4 leading shoe and Borrani rims (18"up front). He had taken it apart, moved twice, taking the boxes and I heard him talking about selling it. I offered to help him out, so we took the parts to be rechromed/polished/galvanised/coated/revised and I needed some weeks to complete the puzzle. Later I replaced the points for a boyer ignition. Too bad it turned out he sold the bike some 8 years ago without warning me, but I have one now. It needs replacement of the rear arm bushings and pin and I managed to take them out. The chain and sprocket are bad, but engine and gearbox were revised 5000 miles ago. The rear tire is square and the speedo gear is empty. The paint on the tank is not really nice and I want the small rear light, but those will be the last issues to take care of. It has negative ground, better dynamo and a boyer ignition so no worries about that anymore.

I shouldn't have parked downtown without taking the key... (Winter project: giving the new toy a tune up. She should look a little more complete by the time that snowbank is gone)...

Changed the livery in prep for the South Island ride. Not sure it is as comfy as cafe setup, since I didn't change the rearsets.

Even though they were cheap and knackered, the most comfy rearset setup I have had were my onld ones from Brian Slarke from the 80s. I should have just had them rechromed and not sold them. They worked great with this setup.

I love it with the proof of " I'm ridden" road grime. The real world flavor of a bike properly used is mesmerizing. Many a Norton would be jealous.

Not a Norton but first real bike I owned , strictly dirt , plus a proud moment with Punch & Jingles

Yup ‘76-‘78 -‘79 not sure KX125 motocross , lot of fun on that one .... the dogs were both CKC registered English Bull Terriers , the bitch (B&W) came from reputable breeder out side Halifax , she has since passed , Punch the male was huge pushing 90lbs , got him from H.Angels , not that I knew that when I first responded to his add , all turned out wonderful though , took both pre-school age kids in pj’s down to pick up Punch in topless CJ7 everyone there made a fuss over children , Punch sat on my daughters lap on the 90 minute drive home , that dog stuck to her like glue until he passed , by 5 yrs old my daughter could walk him to corner store and he just stayed in alert mode and never did anything to stress her , and he really didn’t like anything else on 4 legs , except Jingles ....
