I was obliquely referring to the 'commando' part when I stated it was not a 70 transfer.

Errie b/w with red color view, thanks. Learned the 750 numbers can go over or under logo and there is a Roadster label out there. I will have "COMBAT Comnando" added on Ms Peel's big gas tank as no side covers left on her. Kinda of embarrassing for me and Wes to show up at rally's with our half ratty dusty scared finishes. Hawaii big island should allow miles and miles of coasting down in N and shut off engine to hear the chain whirl and pure suspension feel get through for bicycle like ride flavor.

And today:

I rode it about 30 miles this morning to shake it down. I'm letting it cool off a little then I'm going to check
for any loose bolts and take off again.

speaking of decals,,,,,, the "interstate" decal is correct (kinda). It used to be the side cover
"electric start" decal.
I just re-arranged the letters and re-purposed it.

Wow, you still have the red silicone points seal. Keep in mind that that red seal will outlast the black buna-n seal about 10 to 1. If it isn't worn out I would reuse it.

Nice interstate . Jim

Mark, remarkable speed to open service and put back in service and also remarkable best set up Cdo to really live on practically. I put most miles on my hot rod Ms Peel in set up very similar to yours with hard bags and K/Q seat. Just don't tip over hard on those hyw bars.

When was that photo taken, Jim? You do look a little bit younger in it!

Here is a picture from my first cross country trip on my Commando. 1981 where I slept along the Missouri river on the way to the east coast. Jim

I thought that it took me waaaay longer than it should have.
I changed out the seals in the timing cover, adjusted the cam chain, adjusted the Valves and changed the oil.
What took the longest was trying to find where I put my oil filter wrench.
Sure enough (1 1/2 hours later), I found it right where I had left it.

My woman likes the King-Queen seat.
The first passenger "seat " I put on this bike was a 6 inch long upholstered piece of 2X6.
She could fit one butt cheek on it at a time.

You may have. There was some footage floating around once but I haven't seen it for a long time. Jim
