Just sitting here admiring my ride and would like to thank everyone who has helped me the last 6 months. Learning from everyone here has been a real joy. Not all forums are like this one. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to give some of this knowledge back.

What’s with the peashooters? They apear to have larger than normal holes in the end ?

Yes they do have a large out let... they were made local tradesman here in my city (years ago beautiful quality) by a guy that was a classic club m/cycle guru...since passed on...my mates reckoned it was the go to have that sized outlet and at the time I was running a 7s cam smoothbore 34mm mk2s and another head ...that combination made it sound more like a speed way motor and was really ( edit) ONLY happy at full throttle work (the things you learn) I ended up getting the cam re ground and nitride hardened to a mega cycle profile with radius followers (now about 1/4 race for improved mid range)
then shimmed up the rocker arms & lightend the whole valve train up
It does have a bark :)

The reverse cone is 1" 7/8 or 47mm opening ...I just can't find anyone that makes mufflers like old Len could..a English perfectionist tradesman ...they don't make em like they used to...

Sad to report but I think it's my first ride on my Mk2a this year. Just finished a rewire / rework after being informed I have to take it for its biennial inspection this Friday.

After riding the 961 most of the summer it's really nice to get on something which doesn't sound like it's going to explode at any moment :rolleyes:.

I am a noob to this forum so just tell me to shut my pie hole if it has been discussed before (it probably has). I for one would really enjoy checking out owner photos of the most legendary of ALL british bikes...NORTON COMMANDO. :p

È questa una bella iniziativa. Io collezionista di Commando 6 sarei felice di mostrarli tra questi un PR originale, un Rob North 850 Norvil Mike Hemmings ed un Dominacer 1965 con motore Commando, un S un Roadster un PR replica + un Triumph Tridente. Moto che con altro uso e curo regolarmente ad 81 anni.
