Drawing a Crowd Norton Style

Hehe, what i've observed is that the bickering is way worse when its among same family members : )
If not for the common interest in dangerous expensive motorcycles most of us wouldn't have much to do with each other. I like my ego petted by family and strangers and do feel a bit lower on evolutionary scale or achievement-competence, if my cycle is leaking smoking frayed &/or running bad. My bud Wesley is an example the strong silent type that does not seek any attention and goes a bit out of his way to avoid it, to point he's never posted here but keeps me informed he's lurking and up to date on current issues and bickering subjects dejure and then hehehe his own curmudgeon point of view on things. When we park at big biker bars he parks his attractive yet rat like '71 out of easy view while I park mine to watch the reactions and who it attracts. He tells me he likes his big plastic grey scooter because its unnoticed where ever he goes. An uplifting thing of riding around on a fairly rare and old cycle that's nice to see and hear to me is how good it makes others feel and appreciation i was sharing it by risking actually getting out on it. I stop and photo and complement big twin Choppers dudes on their unique-ish construction and balls to be seen out on it like King of the Road presence and how it affects others that take it in good sense. By far most the cyclers are dang cool folks to rub up against but of course there's many best left alone in their on gang clusters or solo F.O. attitude.

Here' s a not form online friend on the joys of Norton-doom in public. hobotee
I was in Saratoga NY, today it's Track season so there are folks
from all over the Globe.
I was parking the Commando on Putnam St. and some Older British
guy and his Wife walk up to me, he is smiling, she is, to say,
" Could care less". He strikes up a conversation w/ me, about how
he had a Manx Norton in the 60's and traded it for a Commando
in '69. She say's "Hunk a Junk it was". He smiles. He goes on about how
he loved his Norton back in the UK when times were different, she says
again" it was a hunk a junk", He says, "that bike ran great"! She says
"when it ran!"
I tell them it's a runner in progress, and am working the bugs out, it's
mostly updated w/ needed upgrades, electronic ignition, new wiring...etc..
I have had my pitfalls of being brought back home on a trailer. but it runs good,
she says, "for now", I say "it starts 1 kick", she laughs "one Kick OK",
He says, "Thanks Pal, you just made my day!"
as they were walking away I could hear her laughing, "Yea, One kick"
HaHa...
I was feeling quite smug when after I finished what I was doing there,
and mounted the Norton, and she fired w/ 1 Kick!
