Hi. I'm assembling the steering on an Atlas built from boxes of parts.
I'm unable to find a drawing of how it goes together, and the parts I need to search for. I have the bearings and the major parts, but battle to see what the dustcovers and seals look like. If anyone has a picture, it would be great.
Thank you, and Merry Christmas!

Thanks, I have seen that. But it looks as if the bearings are not shown, plus there is no seal at the lower bearing. However that fits what I have found! So I will assemble like that. I have added an o-ring at the top dust cover, underneath, as it looks like a 3mm gap there. Looking at the lower end, I think I will add a 3mm ring there too.
Thanks for the reply!

Slick
Thanks for this too. Mine are earlier though, with conical bearings and different forks. These look like Commando items. But the illustration is better quality. Not much too it anyway, it seems. So, Just Do It!

There should be a felt ring in that 3mm gap.

There should have been, or there was ... ? If one was fitted by the factory, what is the part number?

-May be be I am wrong , but I had seen that that his bike have "conical" bearings , which should be something like the Timken taperd roller bearing 30205 which in fact are wider than the std one , hence the 3mm gap , so a felt ring is a soution to blank the space . ( 16.25 mm vs 15mm = 1.25 x2 =2.5 mm)
