Anyone bought a Cafe style Commando Seat on Ebay

I was wondering if anyone had purchased one of the cheaper cafe style seats on Ebay for an 850 Commando. If so how good is the quality?? Is the seat pan decent??? Anyway you can purchase just the foam and cover or you can purchase the complete seat. Complete seat is around $199.00 I cannot afford the Corbin Gunfighter and was looking for a cheaper alternative?? Any other ideas where I can find a cafe style seat for a 74 850 Commando on the cheaper side???

I have one on order, I will let you know when I get it. It was $180 + $80 shipping and I had a 10% off coupon which applies to the purchase price, so the final price was $162 + $80 = $242 not cheap, but not out of this world either.

My friend bought one, they look pretty good in the photos, but are pig-ugly on the bike - too wide at the rear and too narrow at the front, which doesn't blend into the tank the way a Corbin does. Some people may be happy with the look but neither my friend or I would put one on a bike - he offered it to me for free!

A mate of mine has one. ( mate.... In Aust....friend, buddy, person you would give your last beer to, sometimes can be female ). He is happy with the quality but not the shape. That didn't matter as he wanted to reshape it anyway to suit the Interstate tank...AC.

I've never done it but if you have your stock seat & don't care about keeping it for some other use, why not have it reapulstered in a shape you want? You know it will fit and Ive seen a few done kind of like a BSA hump (butt stop) seat.
