1969 Commando revitalization.

I bought Hyde rear sets there on the bike but I need brake switch and have to replace tranny cover because the shift lever won’t clear the gear indicator that must be why the seller of the rear sets also sent me a cover.

New bars low rise “ Euro bars aka Super bike bars”. New bars feel way better than the medium risers plus they work well with the Hyde rear sets .

Is this a kill/horn switch?

Any lever suggestions let me know .

These stock levers look cheap , I actually think modern levers might be the way to go

Is this a kill/horn switch?

The original would have been a Wipac Triconsul switch cluster with Hi/Lo beam, horn and headlamp flash.

The green globe speedo and tach are from a later model. The speedo would normally be fitted on the left-hand side.

Thanks I’ll switch the tach and Speedo that explains part of my cable routing, it was a mess . I’m a tad bummed on the wrong Speedo and tach guess I’ll be spending more money.

It’s kind of low. When I do a compression test….throttle wide open and kick around five times over the top. My ‘72 combat gets 182 psi on both sides. If yours doesn’t come up a leak down test is in order to understand where it’s leaking.

i also have the eurobars on my bike like them a lot is that 400cc Kawalski triple in the background? I had a new one way back when same color

i kicked it at least five times but no throttle also with the kicker mounted low with the Hyde outs hard to get a go solid kick . I’m away for the but in going to have at it again on Monday so maybe I will get a better reading . Thanks

Yes that is a 1975 S3 , I love that little bike it’s a blast to ride . Way back 44 years ago I had a KH400 same bike just green , two strokes are kinda my favorites I also have a a project H1 coming together slowly.

mine seized center cylinder going about 60mph on the highway locked rear wheel left long black mark on road short brown mark in my drawers i rebuilt the engine and opened up ports a bit and put 'silenced' expansion chambers on and some low handlebars it was a mini rocketship on backroads

Thanks I will try thid

The throttle needs to be fully open when doing the compression test. Probably more important than the reading is how close each side is.
A leak down test is a much better determination of the engine condition though. If you don’t have the equipment you might want to farm it out to someone.
