Anybody else got an overly irritating mate that tries to stick his ugly fizzog in every shot!?

200km or so today - bikes everywhere with what seemed like a commensurate number of bike mounted coppers! Saw five in just a few hours!

One of which Andy here gave the ‘police ahead’ sign to before realising it was an undercover bike cop - unmarked bike, police helmet and comms. Whoops, think that might be illegal!🤣

Australian road regs - guaranteed to confuse (inter-state especially)!

Lovely day off up to the museum near Newby Bridge in the Lake District. Heard some good reports about it so went for a look see. I know the title of the post is 'Pictures of your Norton' but there are only so many angles and positions of a 961 no matter how many different 'Bits' are glued on before it becomes repetitive so maybe the title could be changed to 'Interesting pictures with your 961 in it' or summat, just a thought.:)
When petrol pumps were a work of art, simple fun at the fairground, give a man a engine and he will fasten it to anything to go faster, and Sat Nav my arse!.

The cafe behind the bike is one of those new trendy cafe bars , sell vinyl records, hair salon, & even yoga classes, dam good coffee though , hence my appearance here this morning , I was born in the next road from here to , saving u the back drop of barber shops, liquor stores, vape shops , charity shops & mobile phone repair shops , far cry from even 40 yrs ago , when we had family owned independent butchers, bakers, fishmongers, grocers, newsagents, iron mongers ! , sound familiar at all , out of town shopping malls & supermarkets have taken there toll, rant over View attachment 121391

Grate riding day and the Ribblehead viaduct in the background with LNER Peppercorn Class A2 60532 'Blue Peter' crossing on it's way to Carlisle . Beautiful steam engine built in 1948 in Doncaster. it's the last one in existence after the other 14 of it's class were scrapped. It has recently under gone another restoration and can be seen on the main line earning it's keep ready for the next restoration which will probably come in at around the £ one million mark. Some one once said the best way to loose all your money is by buying a steam engine. 🥴

Nice looking engine . I was on a train in England twice. Once in 1981 going from Portsmouth to Birmingham and back. Also in 2017 from London to Birmingham and then to Scotland and then back to London. The first time I went to Norton during the rotary days and then in 2017 during Donington Norton. Also went to see the Classic TT in the IOM in 2017. Was a good memorable trip.

Unscheduled 150 km Wednesday wander around the hinterland today. Was’nt planned - went into the garage to grab a blower battery, having forgotten I’d left the Norton facing the driveway!!

Took me the blink of an eye to ditch the garden work in favour of a ride! Happens quite a bit:)👍!

If whilst out riding on your Norton Cafe Racer you came across a Vespa Owners Group meeting, at your local bikers cafe, could you resist pulling up (very noisily) and parking on the end? No, me neither!!

Churlish? Maybe! Fun? most definitely!!😁👍

Seems to be very few of us out riding - post a pic if you’re playing out! Doesn’t matter what of. Even if you’ve had recent parking problems like Stephen on FB. Sharing is caring!

Thankfully very little damage (apparently) - made to last are these beauties!

Quick mid week jaunt to the favourite bikers cafe today. Topped 10,000 miles (must update the mileage list), so a noteworthy day! She’s running sweet as a nut - as ever.

Sat with the lads talkin shit’n’eatin pies and up walks this old cocky (farmer) known to some in the group. Unannounced, he points straight at the Norton and says “That bike looks just like my cow Daisy”!

Needless to say that got a laugh and a good 5 minute slagging of the Norton’s appearance - whereupon my bike was quickly (and it seems permanently) renamed Daisy!!

Blow me down if he didn’t also have picture with him - don’t see it myself!

Remember - if there’s no picture it didn’t happen!

I'm new! How can I post pictures, can't add into media. is there a place to present ourselves ?
To post pictures , you have to load your photos into a hosting site like Flickr or similar. You then post your link to this forum. Or you can join the VIP member group and post directly.

Thanks, that's why !
For beginning, I will go with the ol' good method, but I just got rid of my Photobucket album. Need to find a new hosting site.
