Scenic view with Lake Piru (California) in background. 61 mile ride over several twisty roads to get there from my house and back, and very little traffic on a weekday morning. Just recently re-opened after being closed due to one of the many California fires. Poor air quality warning still in place, mostly from smoke that's blown down from the Northern California fires.

What's it like inhaling all that smokey air on your ride?

Actually, today was one of the better air quality days here. Officially, it was only "Moderate" (first level below "Good") in the area of my ride. Onshore winds moved some of the smoke out overnight. I've not been riding on the really bad days, but today was better than it's been for a while, so I took advantage of it. Over the hill in Los Angeles the level is maxed out at "Hazardous" in a few locations. At that level, the gov recommends everyone stay indoors and not exert themselves too much. Real time air quality map here, for anyone interested.

Works a treat the racks are really solid and look good on their own and the bags are very sturdy and easy to put on and didn’t move at all the whole trip

Somewhere around Telegraph Road ?
Lol. How could you of possibly of guessed?
It’s actually the tracks that run parallel to Telegraph rd. Literally 60 feet away. The front of my bike is heading towards Telegraph rd.

If you are like me then we take favorite routes again and again . Railroad and telegraph usually run together . I find a way to include my favorite routes when I take my rides . I don't like heavy traffic , so I avoid those congested areas as much as possible .
Yep we’re alike. The road crossing the tracks is called Rauch Rd. It has some nice esses and sweepers. Plus the pavement is glass smooth and it’s all rural with nearly no traffic. Only problem is it’s only about a 5 mile stretch.
