My beauty!
Pictures of your Norton 961

After looking at Nortons for a few years now, finally decided to make the leap of faith. It is almost fatal attraction though! I visited the factory with a friend and his Dominator, which he had a string of issues with. It was a Naked and had to have quite a few parts replaced, including the frame! Even being given the factory tour, I wasn't impressed. It just seemed to be such a cottage industry....but the Nortons they were producing were like nothing else out there...so there they stayed at the back of my mind. To their credit, my mate has just got his back from the new company and it all looks fantastic, with all issues resolved it would seem. I've been looking on and off for ages.....in one wqay, these b8kes make no sense if you look at what else you could buy with the money. But then that's not really the point. They are just so unique. I was initially look at cefe racers, as love the look, not wanting to spend the huge sums on a Dominator with the lovely alloy tank.....but then this bike came up on facebook. Resonably priced, looked lovely, so I had to take a look. Ran fine, no real chance for a test ride, so in a way took a bit of a chance, but the owner was very genuine, the bike has been used..around 5k miles, so we agreed a price and the deal was done.

So here it is being delivered today! It's a very pretty bike, but I'm already getting the 'Norton' experience and I've found some interesting issues that will need to be resolved already...havn't even had it a day yet!

A little about me, live in Kent, been into cars mostly, so restoration, rebuilding engines, created my own quad throttle body fuel injection system for my small black ford v8 engined capri, but only learned to ride in 2016. I other modern bikes, but really wanted something different..and in the Norton, I think I really have that, foibles and all.

Hello Vernon240 , We have a long term member who lives in Kent , ( That's an area not a town right ? ) loves to ride his Norton 961 and has put many miles on his bike. They may be planning a ride soon so I hope Blightybrit/SF sees your post .

Yep, Kent is a county in south east England, effectively south and east of London, all the way to the coast. Some lovely roads down to the coast, past castles and small villages. All very nice! Well, posted elsewhere, I have a little work in front of me already!

The Black chassis pack costs more too. It looks like a pre-ABS bike , pre or post 2016 ?

Well every cloud and all that, because of the lockdown it meant I spent more time in the garage tinkering about and re organising everything. With so much time on mi hands I decided to make some farkles for the old 961, and here is the result of my hard earned labours, at least it kept me out of mischief and the wife's hair. :D :D
