For disc painting, I just sprayed whole thing, no masking. Then fitted some old pads and spent a nice evening tooling about neighborhood doing lots of braking. Took a few blocks until paint started stripping away. After a good few miles, nearly all paint gone from friction surfaces and good braking returned. Surpriaed how cleanly the edges came out with this method. Way better than i could have done with masking.
Will swap back to fresh pads shortly.

A friend of mine did the lettering on his Avon Speedmaster… but only did half a job ;)

Installed some clamp on headlight brackets as I detest the stock setup with O rings. Not great looking but they don't rattle ;-)

Here’s what I did to mine…

They are now such a good fit I’m not sure if the o-rings are even required any more.

Drove it Downtown to a beach below the CN ? tower . So hot I jumped in twice into Lake Ontario . Wife just splashed herself but no one would jump in with me until I met some kids from Africa who of course did . Then by chance met some musician friends drinking Amsterdam Brewery quality on the man made beach looking to the Islands . Driving Norty again now to drop off wife to rehearsal . Very Hot Here .

Toronto, you are a brave man touching any part of your body with Lake Ontario....:)
My friend I will swim in a damp towel .
It's spring , cold and high waters now in all the Great lakes .
5 years back we did Varanasi , India , Mother Ganges river , with burning bodies on shore and barges of piled up bodies to be burned .
Took a little skiff out to the center flow and jumped in . The captain was so impressed he jumped in too .

It's a sacred privilege to enter Mother river . Hindu .
The Norton sits outside on the scorchin' pavement loaded with new sleeping bag and foam underlay . I aborted until tomorrow . Broke a heat record today for June 2 nd . at 32.5 C . Melting and heard the 400 north was jammed up with cottage exodus . So be it .

I had a go at a seat stencil 😗 , i got it from ..."I say Ding Dong".....I thought picking gold at the hardware store would have been easier, everything locked up in a cabinet , dam glue sniffers ,

I bought the rustoliem gold not sure if it's ok maybe I should have gone for chrome gold cap on some other brands !😵‍💫 too hard , too many other choices as well ,it's done for now it looks ok I think , stencil was good , the old one wasn't very visible and worn , I can change it no problem, I see how she wears , also fitted new plugs , cleaned the pilots , and I'm waiting on a new K&N air filter , sick of seeing , out of stock ! , and also fitted the mk3 timing cover and did oil change and filter.

Looks good to me!

Rode the bike for about 130 mi. today. It was a sweltering 93 F out today but toughed it out anyway. Drove my truck to the shop, slapped my ass on the bike and away I went. It’s supposed to be warmer tomorrow so I’m going riding early to try and beat the heat.

Bustin' my butt to get the JPN finished for a Concours event next Sunday. It's coming along, should be ready to go. Hope to have it in Washington in a couple of weeks for the rally.

Man, you really do get around! I remember those summers during cottage season and parking on the 400 to get to the Muskokas. Yeah, we've been scorched this past few weeks here in Michigan as well. Didn't do much riding during the heat. Actually discovered a wobble in my front tire that makes the bars jiggle so gotta sort that out before I can get back out there.

Unfortunately, I've not done more than 3 or 4 miles since I fitted them and that was only pottering about, but I would say that, knowing the roads like I do, I noticed the bumps less didn't notice the bumps so much.

Hardly a conclusive review I know, but I will come back & comment when I have had more time on them. I'm not expecting an amazing transformation in ride compliance for less than £150, but they have to be better than the 50 year old budget Girling's I would've thought.

I'm definitely keeping them though so need to get around to removing the stickers.
