sprockets

Better let her know they are the same as Commando 961 . Yes TR351 ! :):):)
I figured I’d wait to see how this group buy works first.
I don’t know the part numbers for the Cush drives or front sprocket.

I would start a group by thread at minimum for Cush rubber to gauge interest.

We would stock them since we see a lot of bikes for service. I would entertain making one big buy for US customers so it’s a one order through customs things but again what’s the “actual” interest. And not to be negative but out of all the bikes we have serviced only one needed new rubbers. I say that but we have also been making spare parts kits for our customers as well so we would order more than 10 sets ourselves right now

City garage
Can I ask what is in the “spare parts kit”.

I’ll take the same as Tony A.

I did my Cush drive rubbers last service 20,000 km and they weren’t that bad. Bit of wear only.

I do have a new front sprocket on the shelf from Ollie but forgot the rear. (Doh)
So if possible I’d take,
3 sets of Cush drive rubbers.
2 front sprockets.
2 rear sprockets
2 rear drive chains
(Did someone mention chains)
I’ll take what I can get!!!

Gaskets electrical components IAC valves etc. look at the parts list is a good start. We have also banked some ecu’s as well

Thanks for that. I was lucky enough to get a lot of gaskets and other stuff from norton before they went bust. But never thought of sprockets etc. thought they would be easy to source.

Actually finding the IAC (Lowe) is the difficult one. A lot of the other parts are available

and we have a response, so here is the deal:

Front sprocket for the Norton 961 Commando and Dominator, Item Code TG62052518
"The MOQ for these would be 30 off and the price would be £41.35 plus P&P and vat (where applicable) per Sprocket. To manufacture these Sprockets, we would need a single order to supply at the price above" so that is a one off payment of £1488.60 including VAT, not shipping though. Theil charged me £38.50 ish..might be worth checking with Ollie again.

Rear sprocket for the 961 Commando and Dominator, Item Code TR35152550BK (I'm assuming the BK means Black)
"You are correct the BK does mean Black, but we also manufacture these in Gold, we do not supply polished. We have one in stock at the moment, the price would be £39.20 each plus P&P and vat (where applicable) and to make another batch would be approximately three weeks from confirmation of order."
No mention on MOQ, so place orders and be patient is the news here I think.

Cush Drive Rubbers, Norton 961 Commando and Dominator, Item code TCDR1x5
Are these available off the shelf and what is a lead time on these? Would we need to place an order with an MOQ as with the front sprockets, and if so what would the MOQ/price be (per set of 5).
"We do have these in stock now and these sell at £28.15 plus P&P and vat (where applicable)" so once again, simply place your orders.

Norton 961 Chains.
Val said you had these available, so interested in item code, price and manufacturer, as there could be interest here as well.
"We have some black Norton chain in stock, part number 525SO in 118 links and these sell at £42.66 each plus P&P and vat"
I've queried the 118 links, as 961 chains are 106 links, I've also asked who manufactures them, as I don't think Talon are a chain manufacturer.

So, executive summary:
Front sprockets, I'd say Theil looks like a better bet here and will supply individually, at lest while he has stock. To the UK, his shipping charge is 30 Euro, so add in some gaskets etc, which are superb.
Rear sprockets. Order as needed, just be patient.
Cush driver rubbers, once again, order as needed, but stock up, as these seem to be a consumable on these bikes.
Chains. Lets see, but I'd prefer to put on a named brand chain, plus I'm a sucker for gold chains, but lets see what they come back with.

I have a paypal account, so happy to help out guys outside the kingdom of united with orders, as I know bank transfers can be an issue, but they do accept credit cards!

Hi Vernon , The price of the front sprockets just keep going up from TALON . Can I pm you ? We can then nail down the specifics etc. Thanks Tony

I’m in for 2 front sprockets, 2 black rear sprockets and 4 sets of Cush rubbers.

Yes, Talon can supply, but not sure if tey have them in stock. Also Theil in Germany have them on the shelf:

I got through about 10 cush drive rubber sets last year. Ive just ordered 10 sets and three rear sprockets for stock.
Ive also got on order a batch of Dominator foam seat bases (not from Talon lol), which should be with me in a few weeks for stock.

Its ridiculous. Norton wouldnt have spent that much either. In fact, I'll check what Norton were paying this evening, as I've got a stock check file on my laptop.
