Again a lot of thanks for your condolences.
Merci a tous pour vos soutients.
Veel dank aan iedereen voor jullie steun.

You must know that Marina was not the real mother from Helga, in fact she was mutch more as a mother for Helga.
I was only 17 years old when Helga was born, I take my responsability and married the mother, we divorce a few years later.
I keep working on the Sunburst with sometime tears on my tools
Yves

Looking forward to two things:

1. Photos of the Sunburst out on the road, enjoying great rides,

and

2. Sad memories turning to HAPPY ones. Our loved ones live on, when we tell stories of the many happy memories.

I make a aluminium filler cap to replace the plastic one on the brake oil container. I put the clip-ons closer to the tank after the pic.

The raised clip-ons

Hi There,
What I did this week:
A lot of work to adapt the fairing for the raised clip-ons, you can't imagine! you must adapt the levers, the counters and more
Hope you like the works in progress?
Next week I start the engine.

A man go to the maternity to see his new born baby
Before he go in the room, the dokter say to him:
-There is a problem with the baby, difficult to explain, but look your self.
The man go in the room and lookin the bed: the baby has two giant ears: 10 inches long and 5 inches widht
The young father go to the dokter and whisper in his ear: this is very hugly!
- You can speak louder, the baby is deaf.

Yves

Looking great Yves. The raised fairing does not look out of place at all, it could easily have looked awkward, you done good there.

May I ask one question (as I see it a lot on Seeleys and have never understood)... why didn’t you shorten the fork stanchions ?

Hi Nigel,
In this case you can not do it, the Consentino internals need long stanchions.
And is a part of the Seeley look no?

Maybe it's the internals people use. When I built mine I shortened the stanchions (I think to around 20") before they went to Maxton, and they only protrude about an inch above the top yoke, but mine is a proper "low" Seeley, unlike a lot of recent builds which are about 2" taller

Once you install the engine, the sag/squat will have them lowered somewhat.

It MIGHT, as @yves norton seeley will soon be tasked with setting the optimal ride height; my guess is they will be slid back down some...

There is already 3" sticking out. Engine weight will make no difference to the 3" above the yokes. Fork stanchions that are over 3" too long for a Seeley as is, so if they are slid back down, Yves will need a mounting block to get his leg over

the bike ;)

Before I take the fork out, I make the mesurments and I put it back like it was set bij Kenny Cumings.
Maybe I should make adjustements after the first test ride.

My Mk4 has Maxton internals, but on the original Seeley stanchions, so the tapered top yoke still works. I wondered if Seeley used Manx stanchions?

Yves, the new colours look great!
But now you have to change the title of the thread ;)

I'm pretty sure they did. I had a set of Dommie ones that I shortened and modified to take Triumph top nutss so they could be slid through the yokes without undoing the top nuts

Hi there
Bad surprise to day, I strip the engine and I discover a unusual wear (3mm) on the last lobe from the camshaft, the other lobes looks OK, the camshaft is coming from Mike Hemings and is a PW3.
The follower from this lobe is also scratched.
Do some members have the same problem?
Yves

How about a photo?

Maybe you have problems with the cam follower bore as well?
