Hi there,
As you can see on the pics, it was time to strip the Sunburst, I find some rust on place where its not possible to ritch with the engine and gearbox in the frame.
I work maximum 3 hours a day on the bike, why only 3 hours? Let me explain you why no more:
Here how I spent my day: I wake up at 8, wash my self and go to the bakery for bread, back home is make the breakfast ready and wake up my lovely Marina.
Marina is disabled, 40 years of multiple sclerose and the last year here situation is worst as before, she can not walk anymore, the whole day in a weelchair, but always with a smile.
So at 9.30 I wake up Marina, help here in the weelchair, help here for washing and dress then she take here breakfast, after I do some cleaning work in house, most of the time i am ready to go to the workshop around one o'clock.
I stay in the workshop 3 hours, I can not do more, after 3 hours my body say NO, even if you give me 1.000$ to unscrew one more bolt, I can not do it.
Then I go back home and do a siesta from one our, at 5 o'clock I start coking the evening diner, after I call it a day, we go to sleep at midnight.
And I do this with a lot of pain in my leg, night and day, thanks Calimity Jane.
But I can not complain when I compare my situation with those from Marina, thanks the Lord no pain for here.

As you can see I work with the bike on a hydrolic work bench, with one chair on both sides, so the most of the time I can sit down to work.
Yesterday I receive some help from Tim to take the engine out of the frame, Tim is 30 years old and a former member of the belgiam special forces.
If you never strip a bike, you can not imagine how many parts needed to make a Bike.
I hope to have a nude frame by the end of this week.
I will polish every aluminium part from the bike also.
I hope to have the seeley back on the road at mid-february
Keep you posted
Yves

What is your goal this time around Yves?
i hope that justice happens, that I receive more as peanuts for my injuries and to stay in live with Marina
Some members from access meet Marina and they know wath a wonderfull person she is.
Yves

Good on you Yves, as the old sayin goes "life wasn't meant to be easy" and we all have had our share of ups and downs, some more than others, motorcycles just help us to get over all our hardships in life and I wish you well, can't wait to see all your hard work even if its 3 hours a day.

Yves , just noticing the instruments are just put into a box with the other heavy metal thingys ? They should be up on a shelf protected. I learned the hard way. Bonne chance avec le reconstrucion du ton project. Pierre.

I thought it looked good before Yves......however, I'll bet it will win concours d'Elegance when your done. Thanks for starting this thread and please keep the updates and great pictures rollin' in. :)

I hope that you receive justice as well. What I meant by my question is what changes do you intend to make to the Norton? It looked beautiful to me.

What Yves is saying is that he has a couple of different plans, and which one he chooses will depend on the financial outcome of his claim.

It's allways a pleasure to read you and see your fighting spirit "pour de vrai" .......you will be a leader for us and all those complaigning about tiny problems .........
keep on , big kisses to Marina and say hello to Bruno (where is he ???), Pierre.

The main instrument is a Scitsu tacho, a fairly popular instrument for race usage, but it can be improved on fairly easily with other electronic tachos! Yves may even have an alternative already?

On a personal basis, on the bikes I have ridden with a Scitsu fitted, they didn't work for long!

Mechanical tachos may not be as accurate, but I prefer the consistency!

Hi Steve,
The Scitsu tacho is already an alternative to the Schmit E tacho that never work
The Schmit speedo is working well now.

I was using Scitsu tacho for years on the Big Spender, only one issue, the good thing is that you van ship him back for repair
