Hi there,
As you can see on the pics, it was time to strip the Sunburst, I find some rust on place where its not possible to ritch with the engine and gearbox in the frame.
I work maximum 3 hours a day on the bike, why only 3 hours? Let me explain you why no more:
Here how I spent my day: I wake up at 8, wash my self and go to the bakery for bread, back home is make the breakfast ready and wake up my lovely Marina.
Marina is disabled, 40 years of multiple sclerose and the last year here situation is worst as before, she can not walk anymore, the whole day in a weelchair, but always with a smile.
So at 9.30 I wake up Marina, help here in the weelchair, help here for washing and dress then she take here breakfast, after I do some cleaning work in house, most of the time i am ready to go to the workshop around one o'clock.
I stay in the workshop 3 hours, I can not do more, after 3 hours my body say NO, even if you give me 1.000$ to unscrew one more bolt, I can not do it.
Then I go back home and do a siesta from one our, at 5 o'clock I start coking the evening diner, after I call it a day, we go to sleep at midnight.
And I do this with a lot of pain in my leg, night and day, thanks Calimity Jane.
But I can not complain when I compare my situation with those from Marina, thanks the Lord no pain for here.
As you can see I work with the bike on a hydrolic work bench, with one chair on both sides, so the most of the time I can sit down to work.
Yesterday I receive some help from Tim to take the engine out of the frame, Tim is 30 years old and a former member of the belgiam special forces.
If you never strip a bike, you can not imagine how many parts needed to make a Bike.
I hope to have a nude frame by the end of this week.
I will polish every aluminium part from the bike also.
I hope to have the seeley back on the road at mid-february
Keep you posted
Yves
