Pictures of your Norton Commandos

This here is my Natalie! Got her on May 26, 2012 and so far ive put almost 3000 miles on her. I love her to death and she's a little bitchy sometimes but when I get her going its a blast to ride.

Heres a little pic that i shot with my film Leica.

So far it is still work in progress, but i am getting there. Roadster tank got fixed and painted, side pannels too. All i need now is the golden pinstripes and the decals, the i will get it clearcoated. When this is done i want to get the Interstate tank repainted and restored. I got some more goodies at home, a NCW chromed front fender, a set of Ikon Shock ready to install.

My Monoshocked Commando , built in 1994 - i call her the Maverick Commando coz she's a bit different from all the rest

definately + 1.....very nice looking bike tfisher, how does it handle? Are those 17's front and rear? What are they off of? Do you have any build pictures, what difficulties did you encounter when you were building it? etc..etc...etc..

Like the look, very tasty.
They wheels look like those used on the TRX850. Maybe used on some other Yams as well?

Front and rear ends from a 1989 Yam FZR 600 , build took 18 mths with varying degrees of difficulty which seem a long time ago now , she was built in 1994 .

Top tube on the frame cut and shut like an Egli frame , lowering the rear subframe so the bikes ride height could be higher but keep seat height around the same , i'm a short arse .

Extra Iso under the gearbox , i did this to help with the slightly longer swingarm , handling is excellent , my son used to do Classic Racing and thought it handled pretty good .

Original tank was ally , but it kept leaking , so i changed it for the Roadster type and dumped the RGV 250 rear body fairing i originally had on it and replaced it with the HD XLCR type seat unit .

Runs Boyer Power Box with a small battery now as it kept cutting out when ticking over if you touched the brakes, it hadn't enough power to then run the Ignition , it also runs Boyer Ignition .

Loads more stuff in the building of the bike , but i'm no typist and find it a little difficult recalling and putting on paper how it was achieved ,at the end of the day its just something i did with not very much idea of how it was going to work ,but i was convinced it could be done with a lot of hard work and maybe some luck .

A day out by the seaside.

Dave, a nice looking bike. I've always liked the red white and blue colour scheme, to me very 70's Norton. Nice bike! 8)

willy mac, I used to have a JPN replica in the 1980s, and I always found the "boot" useful to carry my sandwiches to work in :lol: I can't remember where now, but I got my silencers black chromed to finish the look off. Also, I recall when I used to go to work on it at night, when I was waiting at the traffic lights in York, I always had to switch down to one headlight or the battrey went flat really quickly. I wasn't aware of three phase 180w stators until a few years ago :? I'd post a pic but the photos are not digital. It's brought back a few memories for me.

Not much to see.
Clean up started on the Fastback,some of the crud on the engine and gearbox has probably been there since 1971.
Metal polish is banned except for any chrome.
Wheel hubs and engine/gearbox got the kerosene and brush treatment with a lashing of silicone spray.
