VERY nice comparison shots!!!July 2020 vs July 2021. Had been parked since 1988, started first kick!
The guy I bought it from didn't know what he had. His friend left it as his house when he moved to California sometime in the 80's.VERY nice comparison shots!!!
Well done indeed.
"The Story of My Life"Paid $1,200 and then proceeded to triple what I had budgeted to rebuild!
If you have to ask “ how much will it cost to restore it ? “ then you can’t afford it ...The guy I bought it from didn't know what he had. His friend left it as his house when he moved to California sometime in the 80's.
Now he was moving and figured he'd try and sell it quickly. If it didn't sell he was going to throw it in the scrap dumpster. Paid $1,200 and then proceeded to triple what I had budgeted to rebuild!
I'm assuming alternate switchgear to facilitate those mirrors??My grandson brought his MK3 over to my place today to do a little maintenance and cleaning, and it looks so pretty that I had to post a picture. This is a project bike that we built together for him back in 2014 in time for us to both have bikes for the INOA rally that year. We've made occasional changes to it since then, and it is still going strong. It lived in my shop until this year, so I could also take it for a spin now and then, but this year he managed to buy his own place, so now it lives in his garage.
