Thanks Fast Eddie!
You think I will make pictures of the broken side?😊
The seat is broken on the other side down below on the curving edge…

That’s a shame. But I’d have thought that with some resin, and still, and patience, that could be made acceptable ?
Yes it can be fixed easily, probably no one will notice the fix but I will know its there and I'm to much of a perfectionist…

They used to come up from time to time on eBay. I think the original manufacture had stock and was trying to sell it off. They used to advertise them as ‘universal cafe racer seats’. So it may be worth keeping an eye out.

Have it professionally repaired and have elements of the carbon seat painted - not necessarily all of it. I see an unfurled (shades of grey) Union Jack, covering the problem area of course. Voila - custom tail unit. Could include a racing number (that has meaning) to the paint scheme if ya really want to stand out.

🤣 Fair point FE!! Although I think the bigger problem is the exhaust - they’ve gotta go in favour of some anti-social volume+. Could you stand out any further on a motorcycle!!?

Nice...
I really don't want to stand out, I just want it clean cut, fine and beautiful for myself and to enjoy the ride.

Couple of minor additions to The Duke... only minor as tbh I dont get time to scratch my arse just lately...let alone play with my bikes.
Throttle cover....bloody love it!
And Ive added a bulb with a hint of amber to add a slightly more of a retro feel to the Lucas replica glass lens I fitted. Ive also added a chrome bezel too.
Also got some intake Trumpets being made too.

Throttle pulley cover is sweet.

That discoloured light/lens looks good actually, and the chrome bezel is a good contrast to it. Nice.

Throttle cover is definitely nice. Did you fab that up yourself?
I knocked it up as a small token of appreciation for Stu’s help and advice on behalf of 961 owners everywhere.

more info here..

I'm wondering whether to start making more, but I wouldn‘t know what to charge for them.

Cheers...the lens is crystal clear, its just the bulb that has a yellow tinge to it. Tbh from most angles its barely noticeable....but directly on, its as shown. Its a 100w though, wouldn't be able to run that with a plastic lens.

And much appreciated it is too! If you started producing them, I reckon you'd be a very busy bloke. Not only do you have the potential sales from 2010 to 2020 Donington heritage 961s, but also it seems TVS have stuck with the same shite throttle bodies, so potential re-release 961 customers too.

And cheers for the kind words. Tbh the 961 thing at present is getting to be a strain on my well being ie no free time to relax....and even when I do sit down for a bit, I'm on here, the FB page or scouring the internet world for 961 related parts, or solutions to parts. Finished at midnight on Friday, 11pm Saturday and 1am Monday morning....and up 6:30am Monday morning to start the day job...its catching up with me now. Running Motorvated alongside running someone else's workshop during the week just aint happening, especially now we have a baby. The missus (*boss) has now stepped in, insisting that I keep a day/evening for myself once a week...and also that I quit my job and take this full time next Spring. Even though she's been in Poland with the boy (I'm actually sat at East Mids airport, waiting for her flight to come in), she's been sending me links to workshops and units to rent. So, watch this space..
