Whether sliding over the gas tank, and finding the Monza cap, or sliding off rearwards, and snagged on the tail "slicer", neither are enjoyable prospects.
But they look cool!:p

Geez, that looks sooo different without the airbox when ya get in close - you’ve done a lot of fettling Tony!

Might try and pick up the rear hanger frame section without the pillion peg extention. Cleans it up a bit back there.

Having had more than my share of high speed crashes on the track, and the resultant injuries, the images my mind conjures up of what the "bacon slicer" aero could do to my body would prevent me from ever throwing a leg over that bike, lovely as it looks otherwise.

And SS brings up a good point. Anybody know if the aero features on modern race bikes are specifically designed to break away to avoid injury in a crash? It would certainly seem like a good idea.

Ken
Had a quick read Ken, but didn’t find anything. I expect it’s a given that it would shear - ya don’t want that thing slicing, dicing and maybe even circumcising on the way down! My riding mates is a different story!!

Just under three hundred miles today up to the Norfolk coast in a loop. Not as warm as the sky and sun suggest!!!!

GLB , Great ride it looks like ! That's a big group your riding with and lots of "modern bikes" too. ;) I guess I should know this but are you running baffled megaphone exhaust ?

Hi Tony Sorry I ride normally one my own. This just happened to be Hunstanton in Norfolk which is a regular bike hangout especially on a Sunday I have fitted two separate baffles to the megaphones. This tones it down just enough that the drone does not effect my hearing, maybe!!!!!

Resting (deservedly) after a 200km thrash! 150km is normally nearer the max so my back feels like I’ve spent a week on a testy camel with a bad limp!o_O Bike didn’t miss a beat as usual - bloody unreliable these Donington Nortons!! Baring her ass to receive some nice Rizoma indicators tomorrow!

Sometime riding mate turned up on his Triumph 675R - what a bike! Came past me sounding like a swarm of angry killer bees! First time, for a long time, that I woulda’ liked a couple of extra cylinders - bigger balls just wouldn’t have helped!

Great weekend but that’s going to take a bit of cleaning
