My mistake! An SS in yellow does feature on page 200 but this is just the Norton publicity picture of the day.
So sorry your bike doesn't look to feature.
If I spot it on a further read through I'll let you know.

Did the Wal-Mart order. Was 41.50 usd. Thanks for suggestion. Recommend.

I wonder how long it'll be before we start seeing posts that say, "Well, Norman White says on page 34..."

I knew I had better check p. 34 as it is isolastic time.
Book arrived just, looks like a required purchase for any owner especially a newbie. Wish I had it ten years ago!

My copy from ABE arrived today... It is well written and beautifully produced with copious photo illustrations of very high quality. Hard to recommend too highly

I ordered mine from the publisher about 10 days ago, no word from them yet, which is _slightly_ irritating. I know that it's approaching Christmas and things are different this year, but in view of their lack of response to my email, I would not buy direct from them again. Hopefully the book will turn up at some point though...

Ordered one from Wordery in the UK, expect to arrive here (in NL) by december 5th.

Just had mine delivered by Royal mail from Hive , I had cancelled Amazon as they could not give me a date , Hive was by far the best price and took about three days to arrive .

I made the mistake of ordering from AbeBooks. The price was good, delivery quite quick but the book arrived damaged.
It was squeezed into the smallest size bubble jiffy bag that it could fit, with no other protective packaging. Guess what, the corners of the outer covers are all bent.

I have entered into a dispute with AbeBooks. I want another (new, undamaged) copy in return for the damaged one. They say send it back via a tracked delivery and they will refund me when they receive it. I reply asking how I will be reimbursed for the return postage cost, because it is their fault that I want to return it. Replies received so far have ignored this.....the saga continues.

Belatedly, I thought I would google AbeBooks reviews and guess what, Trust Pilot rate them 2.2 out of 5 -'Poor.' It says it all, really. They're just another 'middle-man' which has come on the scene, with lots of fancy automated reply systems and no idea of customer service.

Sorry, that was a bit off-topic, but I'd hate anyone else to be in the same position when trying to buy this excellent book.

Do Abebooks sell? I always assumed it was a site for other vendors to advertise. Though of course, always willing to learn.

That is correct., sorry to hear of Old Schools problems.. but that will be down to either the shipper or thebookshop concerned... Not ABE as such but no consolation and I hope it gets resolved.

Got mine through ABE and it was packed as you noted. NO problems with it at all.

Oldschool, how did you pay? Can you get any recourse from card company or similar?

I had an order on Amazon, but no sign of a despatch date so I cancelled the order. Then re-ordered it from Amazon via a re-seller (Speedyhen) and the book arrived within a couple of days. Fascinating reading. I think I want two copies; one for the coffee table and one for the garage.

Dave, +1 for speedyhen
Waiting now for a show or AN open day hopefully next year to join the queue to get Norman to sign it.

Blimey, you must have a rich household!
Hope Santa pays you another visit this year.. . .

Lots of good suggestions on where to buy from, other than Amazon (good shop, but they have had enough of my money!), thanks everyone. Still waiting for either my book or a reply from the publisher though.
