Where to start; clutch or engine?

I think I will be picking one up today

Um, Whitworth wrenches are readily available. The bent one and Ascea (sp?) both fit on my bike without grinding. If you are doing engine work, you will need Whitworth wrenches. Buy a set of combination wrenches and a set of sockets. Everything goes better with the right tools.

Very true, I went a head and bought a Whitworth wrench and socket set. I'm sure this will make everything easier. Waiting on it to get here.

Quick question; What socket size do you need to get the #1 nut off of the head ( I think it's #1, it's the one in the front of the engine in the middle.) I managed to get it off but I figure when I put it back on I rather have the right size socket.

It should have a 1/4W hexagon (note that none of the head fasteners are 1/4W thread).

opps I meant bolt. I was looking at one thing and thinking of another.
