What Did You Do With Your Commando Today?

Whats the dimensions of your catch can Larry ?
Can it be tucked away ?
2.5” x 5” approximately. I installed it today and it was a tight fit. I used a self adhesive rubber pad on the bottom of the tank and then zip tied it down to the battery box nice and secure. I also installed the pcv reed valve today. I’ll try and take pics tomorrow.

Engine breather should route to the oil tank.

The breather valve greatly reduces the volume of gasses going back and forth, therefore less frothing etc in the tank.

Therefore, oil tank breather really shouldn’t emit anymore than an odd drop so long as the tank is not over filled.

Nothing wrong with the catch tank if that’s what you wanna do, just that it should not really be needed.

All only IMHO.

Below is my rendition of the breather setup as described by FE.
The breather is an especially good outlet for when one fills the tank with an oil filled crankcase and soaking the bike and shop floor in oil upon startup.
Because I forgot to drain the bottom end after a long sit.

Stripped, cleaned and repainted rear brake plate. New RGM shoes and springs. Quite the battle getting those springs on.

Are those the MZ Gold shoes that most people seem to rate?

Did they fit without too much hassle (apart from the springs)?
