“Buckaroo” comes to mind.it's amazing how much stuff can be lashed onto the back seat with a few bungies. Have a great trip.
I’m heading for Nordkapp, but we’ll see!

Wow. That’s a trip.
F*ckin’ legend !It’s a trek for sure and it seemed like a good idea all those months ago watching YouTube videos of all those GS Beemers and Africa Twins posing by the Globe! Now I’m not so sureLooking at around a month and about 5,500 miles. I’m not looking at doing anything too twisty loaded up though. I’m at Harwich now waiting to go to the Hook.

I did it in August 2002 on a newly reassembled 850, with clip-ons and very rear-sets, and throw over panniers etc. , as an add-on to the Norway NOC rally that year. Except we used the Newcastle-Kristiansand ferry. Apart from two wet days getting to Tromso, it was vg weather. Bike was still running in, so did an oil change at Tromso Harley dealer, and reset tappets. Fantastic trip. 4400 mile return from London. Fjords were most scenic part, including a ferry along one, and roads are vg and little traffic, and great tunnels for sound effects……
Where is the kitchen sink lol.
It might be a trick of the light, or a shadow in the picture… but I’m pretty sure I can see a (small) space where you could have strapped on bit more luggage…
"ANY bike is an Adventure Bike if you RIDE IT HARD ENOUGH!"F*ckin’ legend !
Don’t need no stinkin’ ADV.
Do keep us regularly posted woncha ??
And… the Best of British mate !
Maybe best tractor award too?So, it’s safe to assume that you won ‘best bike’ then ??

All things considered… I don’t think that’s ‘cheating’ !View attachment 120190
Lost in a sea of ‘venture bikes, on the boat from Kiel to Gothenburg. I did the Oresund bridge route two years ago so I’m cheating this time!

I keep looking back in the mirrors and I’m sure I can see a Honda 750 four lurking as the “You have failed” bike ala Top Gear.Gotta say though… doncha think those GSs look comfy !?!
arrived this afternoon on a high bar 961 this time, much easier! Quite a lot of very shiny bikes to check out tomorrow, along with an organised trip to the St Nazaire U Boat pens. weather looks vg for rest of weekend.Brilliant
No pressure for me then!
Enjoy the French NOC rally Jan.![]()
Have a nice trip, and don't be tempted to be heavy-handed. The speed fines here in Norway are devastating, and too much throttle will also make you into a pedestrian.I’m heading for Nordkapp, but we’ll see!
’ll bear that in mind, thanks.Have a nice trip, and don't be tempted to be heavy-handed. The speed fines here in Norway are devastating, and too much throttle will also make you into a pedestrian.
