I was thinking all along that I was gonna go with the ole black and gold. But now I'm starting to think that I might want something different. Any examples of dark green w/ gold lettering? Rust orange w/ black or gold lettering? Anything else cool/different?

i search google images from time to time for inspiration, you'll find some different stuff on there ( a few green/golds like you mentioned) also was a great build thread on here, forget the members name, but he was doing a commando in a cnw style, and had a silver frame with silver/red/black tins which was really cool and unique looking. Black and gold does it for me though

Gotta go with the Black and white!

Milk bar, not cafe? Is that white a solid colour or is there a pearlescent under the top coat?

its the most classic looking cream I could get. Theres no pearl, Its got enough clear to look like glass though! I kinda wish I had spare fenders when I painted though, always think about how that would look!

Oh I had to remove the paint off the neck aftyerwarsd though! If I can give a tip for anyone its to mask the neck!!! I read it somewhere on the boards but decided I could take it off if I had issues but I definitely had issues. It still looks perfect without paint on the neck....

That white w/ black is real nice. What color is your frame?

Black of course!

I powder coated the wheels black to oand stainless spokes with fresh polished hubs. Not stock but I like to deviate and still look traditional a little...

Hi there Snorton74. If you send me your e-mail address to brent@vintage-vendor.com, I can send you any number of color combos I have done on Roadsters, including a dark green metallic/gold stripes & lettering, also same colors but with no stripes and a host of other Roadsters, tins only, no bike pics.
Cheers,
Brent

That whites classy! The fork yokes would have looked cool in the white as well. Even a white seat would be interesting to see on it

I started out with black and gold, but ended up with black and silver. Sort of a monochrome as mentioned above. Only color outside the silver to black spectrum line is on the turn signal and tail lamp lenses.

Nice, I like that there are no stays on the front mudguard, you weren`t temped to match it colour-wise with the rear?

Not the trees or the seat but white stanchions.

That's a CNW front fender. And yes, when the money tree grows a few more leaves I may get the rear fender matched up, but it's kinda growing on me since so little rear fender actually shows with a stock seat and tail lamp housing.

Edit to clarify: The front fender was done with tank matching paint on a plain steel, stayless, CNW front fender. The rear is the OEM stainless. Painting the rear is what I'm on the fence about, wasn't sure about the mismatch in fender color, still am not sure. most definitely won't be plating the front - I like it in black.

Got the same fender, can't decide between paint and chroming though. It's weird I can't imagine the front one chromed or the back one painted. Wtf?
