Rob, that surely is a beautiful bike that you've bought.
What more can I say but enjoy.

I sure like that colour as well , it was fun going back in years and the sandal starting story .... the converse hi-tops only came in one colour for me and that was red ! .... my fave sneakers of all time were a pair of “Kareem Abdul Jabber” Blue Suede hi-tops by Adidas , used them for playing senior men’s full contact “ball hockey” on ice hockey rink with ice removed , boards up ,for summer ....days when the men were men and the boys ... well mostly they were shy and in pain .... ..... really great bikes ! , the both of them, I am “Green” with envy ....

Yea, one in Oz and one in Florida, I think that is enough separation. I will send you the paint code and we could have a Fast Eddie Hot Rod the same color LOL

Well, looking at your two bikes I have to say it’s a very tempting prospect !

I actually have an Interstate tank and matching Corbin (done by Matt) ready for when I grow up and grow out of my Roadster cafe racer hooligan phase...

And wont you be in a coffin then?

Edit: not implying due to your riding...

Well... I can finally take my frilly knickers off.
850 miles on it now and it has loosened up sufficiently for me to reliably kick it to life. I have fitted the RGM longer, folding lever - but even that wasn't enough a few weeks ago.
I thought for a while I was destined to only use Matt's (magnificent) electric start.

It is surprising how much kick starting eases as things bed in, I’ve found the same.

Well, I have completed the 1000 mile service and I have to say that Matt's work is impeccable .
It's getting a bit cooler over here now but a short ride is certain to bring a smile to me (on the inside).
I took it to 5500rpm yesterday and the feeling was great - much looser and free revving.
Today was a shock at 12 degrees C (22 degrees C yesterday - yes, I know I'm a wus) so didn't go out.
Getting ready, once the virus restrictions have eased, to go south to Brisbane (550km) to get a dual seat fitted.
Then 450km north to give my mum (88) the ride she has been asking for.
Her "engagement ring" circa 1953 was a Norton Dommi 500 - gotta have your priorities right! So she's looking forward to a ride on the last of the Dommies. Probably a bit more comfy than the 50's version.
Cheers
Rob

That smile will be with you for the rest of your Norton life, every time I ride my Norton my smile is as big as the day I rode it out of the shop over 44 years ago.
