Well, it has been a long, long wait but it is finally here.
In a bit over a week I have put 300 miles on it (plus the 50 Matt did) so it's not too long before oil change and tappets etc.
I have to say that Matt's work and attention to detail is exceptional - makes me smile on the inside every time I ride it! The sound, the muted vibes and the torque - just glorious.
We're not in total lock-down yet but riding a a great way of self isolating.
BTW it is #134 on Matt's gallery

...another quick and dirty slapdash job by Matt as usual...:)
It is a beauty. Ride out and enjoy!

Rob, that picture definitely emphasises your point about some semi rearsets.

Seems to me your lower leg should be roughly in line with the angle of your torso, moving the foot pegs back 3-4 inch would look to be ideal I’d say.

Beautiful bike.
Not sure how many of you have actually seen one of Matt's creations up front,
They are even more stunning.

Enjoy your new ride!!!

Fork travel?
There's only 83mm of stanchion above the seal but, I have to say, these Showas are the most compliant forks I have experienced.
The rear end is a bit harsh and I'll have to work on that.

Hi Rob, as I have said to you over the phone its a new bike, get use to riding it and get to know your bike before making changes to it as everything needs to bed in, all new shocks will feel a bit harsh at first till they bed in, once you clocked up a few more miles, so after a month or two of riding it and if you still have a need to change things then all good, your body position also need to get use to the bike, every bike is different and things take time to get use to.
Just enjoy it you been waiting long enough for it to get into your hands but came at the wrong time with this lock down of travel etc, I look forward to when you pull up in my drive way, I have room in the shed for it while you are here.

Great color but the front brakes are too shiny. You should fit a stock front setup and mail me yours.

Ash has a good point about not jumping in and changing too much before things have bedded in and / or you’ve got used to it.

However, if your back shocks are Hagon’s then, well, they aren’t gonna get any better than Hagon’s get !

Hagon shocks ‘function’. But they cannot be described as top drawer.

Some interesting shock talk here:

https://www.accessnorton.com/NortonCommando/ikon-shock-choice.30017/

Maxton and Falcon in the U.K. both do top drawer custom made shocks for similar or less cost than off the shelf posh shocks.

Maxton require a lot more information when ordering, leading me to presume they have a more complex model for speccing the shocks, I tend to favour them these days, but they might not do them in a finish which matches your bike: https://www.maxtonsuspension.co.uk/files/home.htm

Falcon do silver bodies and options for chrome springs which might suit your steed better: https://www.falconshockabsorbers.co.uk/

Both companies are very helpful, if you call Richard at Maxton or Robin at Falcon I think you’ll find them refreshingly helpful and lacking in BS.
