Molnar Precision Ltd TGA Commando Parts

Proper porn!
Nicely over the 100BHP/litre benchmark too 👍
What fuel regs apply? pump gas? Avgas?

We're getting just over 11BHP at the back wheel on our 110cc Honda C90 race bike so the 100BHP/litre target is just about hit 🤣
All on standard pump fuel too, of course... *ahem* 😇

95BHP at 7,400 RPM is more than I ever thought anyone could ever get out of a Commando engine. The good thing about land speed records is there are no corners. That motor might be a disaster on a race circuit. What you get up high, you often lose down low.

I'm doing similar with my string trimmer. Racegas all the way in that one. :)

Andy’s land speed racer with fully developed 920cc motor, 95 HP at 7400RPM on the Dyno. 154mph on the Bonneville salt flats in 2018. The fastest unstreamlined, naturally aspirated gas powered Norton on the planet.

how was the big plate attached other than bolts shown to help reinforcement?

I know of one guy with an original short stroke motor for sale for about £4k, but no idea yet of condition. (UK)

It is difficult to know what might be best. I would like to see inside one of PW's motors, and know how it behaved when raced. He achieved a bit. I don't trust Paul Dunstall's stuff, it was prior to the Trans Atlantic racing. I have got Dunstall's tuning notes. They are sound, but not radical - and that might be sensible.

Hi All

As some of you may know, we have been making parts for Norton Twins for the last few years, and whilst my knowledge of Norton Twins is limited, my old man has been involved with them since before he was my age!

We are now at a point where we have Crankcases and Alloy Barrels in stock. We have also recently released our first batch of all Steel Cranks & Flywheels, available as a full set or just as the flywheels.

We are Working with John Snead/STS not only bringing 750/850 heads but also 1000cc heads.

Also I am working on refining the Piper 8 valve head so then it can be a direct bolt on to an 850cc motor.

I’d just like to direct you all to our website to have a look, and give us feedback, after all we want to make sure we are making what you guys need, and we are meeting your expectations in terms of quality!

So please have a look at: https://www.tga.co.uk/shop/norton-twin-engine/
And let me know your thoughts. I’ll do my best to answer any questions.
I can't get their Web Site to load.
Are they still around? Or this is a me problem.

I get a timed out error and have not been able to get on for over a month.

Is your ISP Comcast (Xfinity) by any chance?

I was on it last month. Now its a problem.
ISP is Spectrum.. Home and shop..

Doesn't open for me either, with Firefox, Chrome, or Edge. Was fine a few months back.

Pretzels and a pitcher of beer if they have it.

I've tried it with multiple browsers and computers via WiFi and hard wired. No cigar. Still times out. Could be my darned Netgear router. Netgear has very annoying software and firmware.

I broke my last 3 Mk3 cranks in one season, even though they had steel flywheels.

Also, I'm not convinced that the Mk3 cases are any stronger, wider to accomodate the shaft, yes, but not thicker
There's an easy way to prevent crank breakage.

I have Apple at home and Windows at the shop.
The one consistent is both have Spectrum ISP.

Hi There All
I can only apologise for the issues accessing our site! I can confirm we are still busily beavering away.

Some new developments from us - Norton Domi Replica Barrels, Oil Union Junction Block & some really nice Billet machined but cast look Alloy bottom yokes to name but a few of our recent developments!

All of it is on our website https://www.tga.co.uk/shop/norton-twins/

For those of you struggling with access, I have made our tech team aware, but unfortunately they run on a different schedule to the rest of us, and nothing seems to get fixed fast. It seems the site works fine for some, and not so for others, but we are working to fix it.

If anyone has any questions, suggestions, things they want to see from us at MPL on the Norton Twins bits, drop myself or Andy an email on sales@manx.co.uk and we'll be happy to help!

Cheers all!
