I 3D Printed a tidy way to mount my Boyer Ignition box between the coils, instead of being wire tied under the tank. If anyone likes the idea and wants to print one for themselves, PM me and I will send you the file.

The box, however, should not be insulated.
The box can just be ty-wrapped in that position.

"15. The black (red or blue) box must never be wrapped in foam or anything that would insulate it. Ignition coils must never be wrapped in foam. Both the box and coils need some air flow over them for cooling. Even partial covering of the box or coil with foam can lead to premature failure."

Thanks for the feedback but I was careful to reviewed Boyers installation instructions with the ignition kit and the more up to date on their website and they do not specify a concern re additional insulation. That said it's always a good idea to keep this stuff cool which is why I've mounted mine in an area of better airflow than under a fuel tank and crushed against a frame tube by wire ties as is the suggested location and method.

The Boyer box can certainly be mounted under the coil bracket with a piece of foam rubber placed between the coil bracket and the box if required (or between box and frame) as long as most of the box is in the airflow.

The Pazon Sure-Fire kit comes with an adhesive strip and I have it attached to the underside of the coil bracket. Pazon also warns against wrapping the box.

"An adhesive mounting base is provided; this can be affixed to the underside of the module and the cable tie passed through
and around the module and frame.
Do not completely wrap the module in foam rubber.
