So, Upon removal of my gas tank, I find the PO has the magic boyer box zip tied to the frame as a way of mounting this delicate hardware.
Since I am trying to make all things good on this Norton, what other ways are a more clean mount? Any semi custom hardware mounts for this box?
*I know it is under the gas tank and won't be seen unless the tank is off but I want this Norton not to have any shade tree/cattywhompus style installs.

Thanks in advance,

Sky

Boyer Box mount question?

Zip ties are about universal way to go and well established fastening means in the world elite race bikes. It just needs to have some air flow and not beat against anything so a bit of foam backing plus zip ties is a good way to go. Its best
put out of sight of course. hobot

You could always mount the black box where the condensor pack and resistor is between the coils on the under side of the coil bracket. That's of course if your not afraid  to remove those backup parts you'll never ever have to use again. Use some doubleside tape and hide it there........

On next go around put the blue can back in and take out/bypass the ballast resistor if still in line to the coils. I zip tied mine up under the coil mount with conddensors removed for space. Then I got to try a good points system and removed Boyer and never want one again and nos don't know what to do with the 3rd and last one on hand. Fastest I ever been on a Combat was Boyer fired so mainly I like points better for delightful response in mostly sane thrilling operation.

I made a small table out of alloy sheet and bolted it above the coil mount. I've got a sketch if you want to make one?
