Can someone please tell me what this hose connects to?

This isn’t mine, but it’s the only picture I could find. It looks like it will be a pain to install after the bike is all together so I want to do it now, I just don’t know where it goes or connects to, unless it doesn’t connect to anything and it’s there as some sort of air relief?

Goes on a barb on the oil tank cap neck....it's for taking oil vapour (breather enters tank nearby) down to the air filter.
 
I think it's number 47 here; so not on the filler neck (breather from crankcase goes to neck (#44, 46 & 45)) but on a barb at the tank top/high point:
