I found this Ram-Flo filter for Commando and thought it might work with the CNW starter kit. It is made in Australia and I could not find a dealer in the U.S. so I ordered one from Lynx Auto in Victoria. Price after exchange rate was competitive with the CNW narrow K&N copy and the K&N unit. https://www.lynxauto.com.au/ramflo-...-filter-catalogue/400-cfm-series-filters.html
I have seen these units on a lot of Weber carbs for cars and even a Harley version.

It uses a washable foam element and is pretty easy to remove it. You pull open the spring wire bail and slide it out. The back plate is held onto the carb with the threaded rings like the P11 filter. In fact it might be an alternative for the P11 also.

It is a simple flat plate with two holes bored into it. It is a snug fit over the carb bores, but no modification was needed. I could see that you might need to clearance one or both holes with a round file, but mine fit well as is.

I got hold of one once that had been fitted to a twin choke webber and made up a stainless adapter plate to suit some 34mm Mk2"s...nice compact filter set up.....I mounted the plate as far back on the standard inlet stubs as possible....worked well but did find the foam on the one I had a touch restrictive...and easy cured with new foam filter media
