Norton Commando Dual Inlet High Performance Pod Air Filter

I would like to know if anyone has tried one of these filters on their bike. Is it just a straight fit on the carbs or is it necessary to remove the Norton filter back plate #06.4894 in order for it to fit?

Also how effective does it filter the air?

I have it installed. Stock filter plate must be removed. Does what it says on the box, can't confirm filtering effectiveness until the next engine strip which won't be for some time

I do not want to remove my filter plate as I want to mount some electrical gear with double sided tape to the battery side of the plate
