My 51 TR5 is at a stage I need to paint the frame, but I would like to fit a side stand before I do.
Has anyone got the dimensions for the lug or a good photo of the lug that was fitted at the factory?
Side stand was an optional extra by the parts book.
Looking at the drawings in the parts book and other photos it appears to have been slipped onto the rear LH bottom tube and brazed in place before the rear frame was completed, I think the T100 may have been the same?
I was thinking of making one, and then cutting in half, fitting the two halves in place then weld the two halves together and then brazing to the frame?
