If you think that’s cooler than a Manx then fair enough.

One has had more GP race wins than any other motorcycle in history and is as thoroughbred as it’s possible to get.

The other is a minimally competent motorcycle designed mainly as a fashion statement.

One is all about function over form… but has a perfect form as a result.

The other puts form over function… very successfully.

Item 7: Shortsighted statement. These bikes can be customized nicely, Many tunes available for different setups, cams, pipes, etc.
And more importantly, TTS super charger is available for 1200cc twins. They Go, handle, and stop very nicely too!

Let the games begin...
Absolutely true ! I've owned my 2004 T100 Bonneville 19 years now, from new... ( so it's a keeper)... Standard, it had 50 bhp and 42 lbft torque at the wheel... like this its 82 bhp and 64 lbft at rear.. strong from tickover to 8000 rpm. Love it !

That’s a great bike, and, I get it. I just don’t get it for me.

I’ve had a t100 Bonneville, a t120 Bonneville, a t120 Thruxton, and another t120 Bonneville. They’re good at what they do, and I’ll probably own another one. But, for me, that’s just what they are. I don’t really end up attached to them.

I disagree with BT that’s its a shortsighted statement - it’s not like I haven’t done the work and am just throwing a random opinion.

I’m curious as to why you keep owning them then lol. ?

How can you see the Domi 961 as a better looking bike than the Manx?

Now I’m beginning to wonder about you 😂
For me I simply can't use the same yardstick for vintage, classic, and Neo/Modern-classic.
To me, comparing the appearance of the Manx to a 961, or even a Commando is not a valid analysis. They are from different periods, and incorporate different design cues popular in motorcycles during those periods.

The modern machine can only ever be a copy
It's fascinating that the Manx Norton built for one purpose can also look sooooo good
A bit like the spitfire, built for killing but a beautiful machine IMO (no not the bsa spitfire)🤣🤣🤣

There were not enough 961's made for them to ever reach their potential. If , lots could have been made and sold in the hands of tuners and racers we would have a much different situation today .

Funny - there seems to be more agreement in a thread titled “Disagreement “ then in threads titled otherwise…
Right, so we need a topic that will really be contentious!
OK, let's try this, what is the best oil for the 750/850 Commando primary?:p
