(I didn't have a dishwasher when she was there)
Boiling in a big pan of soapy water works well too. Surprising what oozes out of the pores. Works very well with carbs too.
Interesting, what kind of soap did you use? (I don´t have a dishwasher....)
Non-abrasive vapor blasting is great.
Whatever y’all do, do NOT do what some idiot on this forum did and put cast iron barrels in a dishwasher...

My understanding of vapor blasting is that there is abrasive suspended in water vapor. Are you referring to a different type of vapor blasting when you recommend "non-abrasive vapor blasting"?
