I found some bulb holders to fit my MKIII from Summit Racing but the led's were not bright enough, Would appreciate part #'s and suppliers contact info for really bright led's to fit stock bulb holders.does any one make led bulbs for a MK3 speedo and tach?
The ones I have are smd 501 t10 w5w these are wedge type fitting, ebay seller viigour ,I expect there may be brighter ones out there but I find the crisp white light good enough for meDave & Baz, Could you give some specifics regarding these bulbs? Perhaps check your receipt regarding part number and the vendors eBay name?
I am pretty sure Veglia have wedge bulbs and Smith’s have bayonet type bulbs snipped Veglia with these bulbs snipped Bulbs have 16k on them now.

viigour currently has nothing for sale on eBay. Would these be the same as what you purchased? SeeThe ones I have are smd 501 t10 w5w these are wedge type fitting, ebay seller viigour ,I expect there may be brighter ones out there but I find the crisp white light good enough for me

Pete, since like most LEDs these are polorized, and have a wedge base, I take it that you simply have to be aware of the terminal polarity of the socket base and install them correctly? Is that the case?I am pretty sure Veglia have wedge bulbs snipped

Thanks for clearing that up. I was looking on eBay USA.No not those ones although they may fit, I just checked viigour has 1220 items for sale at the moment on eBay including the type led bulbs that I purchased ,this is on eBay UK , cheers
If they don't work you turn them through 180 degrees , cheersPete, since like most LEDs these are polorized, and have a wedge base, I take it that you simply have to be aware of the terminal polarity of the socket base and install them correctly? Is that the case?
Pete, So these bulbs are for Tach & Speedo illumination? Is that correct? Or are these for the 4 indicator lamps in the console? Thank you for the reply. OK, I verified that these are 194 style bulbs, so they are for the Veglia instruments. I love the brightness of those indicator bulbs. So, do you have a source and part number for them as well???
