Next challenge is the electrics, have a electronics trade, so should not be a huge challenge.

Which is the preferred route for the loom, from the head light, the over the left or right rubber mount on the head steady, does the loom go thought the big hole above the centre oil tank top mount ?, to the tail light down the left or right side ?.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure which is preferred, but pretty much original it goes out the headlamp, to right of the headstock, along the lower frame brace, you can take it through the headsteady or along side it, through the hole above the oil tank, above the battery and to the rectumfrier, down the left side behind the panel for the rear brake and horn, across behind the horn to the zener. Whatever gets you there and works.

Josh,

If you're building the loom on the frame, which is a sensible way to do it, mount the carbs and air cleaner before running the wires. That area is a busy place for wiring, and you will want to insure that the loom clears the air filter, and will allow for its removal. While the factory ran the longitudinal harness as a single bundle along the backbone, for manufacturing simplicity, I found it a bit neater to run two bundles, one on each side of the backbone. There are aftermarket flexible harness tubes (think of a chinese finger trap) available now that capture the wires, but allow for easy addition and removal of harness wires.
