Never tried fly fishing for sail fish or marlin but very doable.
That's some serious dedication to establish your accommodation at such a tranquil looking spot...well done....smoked trout is hard to beat..We fish every year at a small lake in the interior of B.C. I prefabbed the small cabin in the shop at home, then assembled it all with screws to make sure everything fit. It was fairly easy to disassemble then pack into an 18' Stock trailer & the F350 for the 300 mile trip to the lake. A neighbour and I reassembled it in a couple of days. That was in 2000 and we've not had to work on it since. Small and simple, not much to go wrong.
The fishing can be very good, but not always of course. The rainbows are very large as the lake is full of freshwater shrimp. We get lots of four and five pounders. Our largest to date is 9 pounds. Four of us have been going here for 20 years now.
We sometimes bring dirt bikes as there are endless logging roads and fire roads to explore.
Our place was taken out of a large ranch, so we only have the ranch as neighbours.
