Hi. I've been a member here 6 years now and this is my first posting. Thanks to all of you, I've been enjoying just reading and plubing the depths of your combined wealth of experience! Anyway, I hope one or more of you can help me...

I have some handlebars on my Mk2 850 Commando that have makers numbers stamped on them. I'm trying to find another set of bars the same but no amount of googling is turning anything up. Can anybody tell me who might have made these? The numbers are: MOT-026 2011 W750 04D. (The stampings are not along the bar but front and back at the same end of the bar - with the first two in rows on one side and the other two likewise but on the back side.)

They are nothing fancy, but I just love them. They are similar(ish) to Andover Norton part no. 06.4132 Interstate Europe, though not as wide or high.

The bars were on this Commando when I imported it here to Scotland from Los Angeles five years ago.

What's interesting is that another Commando I bought from a guy who had also shipped it from the US, which has different (western type) bars on it, but that are also stamped with numbers in the same format: MOT-028 W730 2014 07D

I'm wondering if there's a well known aftermarket handlebar manufacturer in the US that both these had come from?

Many thanks!

I have no idea about those numbers, but I use this as a resource (especially page 145): https://emgo.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/2019general_IN-2967-1.pdf

Since the dimensions are given, you can sometimes figure out where they were originally used. Also, keep in mind that if everything else is right but they are too wide, it's easy enough to cut them off.

Google shows the MOT-XXX is a makers code and Ebay has a listing with it, you may want to message the seller to see who the maker is and then find the UK distributor/dealers.
