On Monday, I finally took my wife out for her first ride on the Commando. It was a milestone in more ways than one this is my first year riding motorcycles, my first year owning a vintage Commando, and my first time carrying a passenger.
She weighs about 100 pounds, and aside from the way she held onto me, I could barely tell she was there. The bike handled beautifully as we cruised around the neighborhood in second gear, making for a smooth and confidence-inspiring ride.
She absolutely loved the experience, and seeing her smile made the trip worthwhile. It was the perfect way for her to unwind after her first week back at school. She's a teacher, so it was a well-deserved break.
A great day for both of us, and another memorable moment with the Commando.
