went to the shop and dusted the "Blue Mongrel" off. Turned the L petcock on, set the Mikuni enrichener, bumped it up on compression, gave it 205 LBs of right leg, and it fired right up! I just love it when that happens after sitting over a week. Alton starter is still in the box waiting. Guess as I age,(70 now), I'll go to the effort. Mongrel is my 850SS Tribute bike...started as a 73 Roadster with a cracked L engine case. Bought a complete lower end from EBVC on ebay and many AN and RGM parts later, its a nice runner. 4 yrs ago I asked the wife if I could build another Norto.....sure, why don't you build something no one else has? Just love a good woman. So I picked the powder coat for the frame, her and the lady at the paint mixing store picked the tank/side covers.
