I got a call from a buddy of mine last night to tell me he picked up another Commando.
This is one he had sold to the fellow about 10 years ago. A 1971 Commando 750 SS. No I didn't stutter, this is an original SS. The bike has been sitting for last 5-7 years outside under a tarp. The rims are shot and most of the chrome is rusty, but can be re-chromed. The correct SS seat needs new foam and cover and the mufflers are shot.
However, the heatshields and fittings and high mount front fender and fittings, and original braced handlebars are all in tact.
He didn't hesitate to pay the asking price.......$450 including title! I guess with the current economy the guy needed money.
By the way, this makes my buddy's second 750 SS!!
