The Perfect Commando

The most annoying part that I would update is the speedo drive. What piece of junk. 3700 miles more or less to Lumby and back. Just over 3000 miles on the clock even after repairing it once. 18 miles of reserve is not always enough in eastern Montana. Also a tidy way to change the oil would be nice and a kickstart pedal that does not let your foot slip off in slippery conditions. And more twisty roads close to home.

Other than that it is a fun bike to ride.

Roadster or HyRyder tanks ain't enough gas to really leave town.
My buddy carries a qt jug of gas in his backpack or hooks up a second tank on HyRyder sissy bar.
I ground the kicker stops to peg fold in past calf.
I keep eye out of bargains on speedo's, same as tires.

My prefect Peel will for go the mechanical tach and speedo as spares for Trixie
to use up.

ALL Commandos are "perfect".

NO Commando is "perfect".

BOTH of the above statements are true.

This is hurting my head......it is correct-- while not making sense  . (like diet sodas, clean coal, and hybrid SUVS)

actually this would make a great T-shirt.

Well, I can elaborate:

All Commandos are "perfect" (to thier owners)

No Commando is "perfect" (to other people)

There. Now does it make more sense? Both statements are true.

No offense Paul, but I think you are wrong...
All Commandos are perfect when you get an untroubled ride...
No Commando is perfect when you are standing the in shop trying to figure out the next upgrade.

Anyone who rides a Commando must think that they are perfect to be willing to put up with all the flaws.

Greg

I tend to see it more of a challenge than a flaw, LOL I love to tinker and adjust once in awhile.

It's like a good love affair, you ignore the flaws and concentrate on the best.
