Mega rough sketch out on my phone...but will be along this idea.
Nice, I really like the design, and of course, the scrotal removal Monza cap.🤕
How will you polish the alloy around the periphery of the painted area without damaging the paint?

Caps are fixed in place, looks like Tab use a two part epoxy resin or something, to seal the join up.

I'll just have to be careful....use masking tape when ever I need to give it a light buff up.

Will the painted area behind the Norton logo be silver?
I think silver on the polished alloy is a really cool contrast of shades.

Yes, gone for manx silver with red and black stripes
Hi Stu , What are you running the breather oil air separator box into ? Do you need a drip catch like me ? What did you do with the air box temp sensor ? I just have mine ty-rap to the wiring harness under the frame tube and threaded inside a small plastic bottle to protect it. I would like a better /cleaner more robust way of doing this and am looking for ideas . Are you going to change the air filters for K&N with curved inlet stubs at some point ? Thanks Tony.

Tried to write a full reply...gave up as the forum is playing up for me again. I'll try again later on the laptop.

I'll try short replies.

Air oil seperator goes to drive chain, but I'm sacking all that off and going back to Norton's original setup, but adding a pcv in the hose to the rocker cover. The outlet will run back down to the chain though, tuck behind the frame tubes.

Air filters are going to make way for a pair of open trumpets, same as what Jamie Ireson used on his 961 flat tracker conversions. He's given me his contact and permission to use his cad drawings for it.

Ive just put a bit of heatshrink over the air temp threads, to hide it a little.

Ive also got a pair of different Brembo radial master cylinders now to go on it, same style as whats on many Ducati's, with the reservoir mounting bracket attaching on the master cylinder its self and not the clamp bracket. This will bring the height of the reservoir pots much lower down, and also in towards the centrally mounted clock. Once my new brake and clutch lines and here (had the euro 3 lines remade into black), I'll fit them up and photograph them. Also got some Norton reservoir caps being manufactured for sale...so watch this space.

A quick mock up. The mirror perch clamping brackets are being swapped out for standard.

These are being paired up to tinted pots. Will fit all Nortons without integrated reservoir master cylinders.

If it doesn't look right after, I'll just blame Stephen Spencer 😂
Not avin’ that Sir Stu!? You’ve backflipped on yer backflip! You’ve gone from full tank pinstripes to front portion, full tank and back to front portion again! You should’ve been a politician!

In one last attempt to assist you in your decision making process I can now say, definitively, that I almost certainly prefer both options! No need to thank me though - anything for a Peer of the Realm of Norton Mechanics.😄

I'm so sodding indecisive....I have to mull things over for a long time, or I risk making quick decisions that I regret 😳 😂

Understandable and in the end it’s you that has to be happiest with the outcome. Joking aside, lovin your last design. Definitely the route I’ll be going if I ever receive my TAB tank. Sorta aligns with many of the great man’s historical paint schemes, even with scallop reversal - a tribute bike after all.

Its impulsive decisions like that, that will result in me losing body parts that are very dear to me...via an angry missus
Not all impulse purchases are bad though, a Ducati in 2014 led to a long awaited divorce....so happy days. Still got that Duc too.
