Sympathies to Ms. Peel

I just seen where Patrick "Steed" Macnee passed away today. I only knew him from The Avengers, so, then, only casually. I do feel for Ms. Peel. How is she taking the news? Were they still close after all these years ? Hobot, did she ever divulge if they ever "did it" or in the finest traditions of the Empire could he only manage a "stiff" upper lip?
