I did posts a picture of my MK11a on a different post, but that was't to open up this can of worms. I always had grief with my swinging are pivot and no mater what i did always felt some movement on the rear wheel. Many years ago... i used it as every day transport and it used to almost click some times in corners as it took up the slack. So this version of rebuild i decided to sort it. I met a guy from Burgess Frames and together decided to get rid of the swinging arm mount on the cradle and transfer it to the frame, much wider pivots, just like the Featherbed frame, it worked for that.
I re worked the gearbox cradle so it clears the swinging arm. I fitted a third isolastic mound equadistant from the other rear mount so the pivot is inbetween the two. i have a couple of photographs, but difficult to see. if it ever stops raining I will get it outside and try for some better pictures.

That is an interesting approach. It would seem to have the same concerns as the featherlastic in terms of drive chain tension, but they managed to make it work with the use of chain guides. Does your bike have anything like that?

How do you fit the clutch drum? The photo seems to show the gusset that carries the new swing arm mount slap bang where the clutch should be!

looks brilliant hope it works out ,i run an extra isolastic under my gearbox although it has no rubbers inside its just there to locate the engine better but also keep the same smoothness it also has a braced swing arm ,but your idea looks really good i hope you can keep the chain on the sprockets ,have you ever looked at a yam fj1200 set up all it has is an adjustable cup that holds what looks like a large rubber smartie this is all that stops the motor crabbing backwards under acceleration and the chain jumping off although the yam motor rubber mounts dont have the same amount of movement , cheers baz

The rear sets are by "Tarozzi", I got them form a place called Disco Volante Moto? I am sure they are still about. I hope with the two isolastic mounts at the rear and the front it will be stable. I used to have a Norvil head steady, but will more likely fit a Dave Taylor type. If it moves about to much I might have to fit a different type of rubber in the isolastics? The swinging arm pivot is a stud that screws into a plate that is behind the clutch. Next problem is the belt drive. I had an open 40 mm drive, looked the part but shredded itself in Belgum.

That's a turnup, they're about 20 mile ride from me here in north wales, I'll have to browse their web site more thoroughly, and yes they're still going!!

did they still do them? I found them pretty easy to modify to just about every position.
