I bought one of these sump plugs a while ago, mainly to have a smaller, controllable flow when the plug is removed (yes - I know, there should be no flow - whatever!)
Subsequently I have read/heard horror stories of the clip coming out inside the crankcase... etc, disastrous etc.
Early books recommend soldering the clip to the washer. Do I need to do this?
I plan on installing a cartridge filter - so should I justt pull the clip, washer and gauze out and purely use it as a convenient single point waste oil connection, with magnetic plug?
Any advice welcome
Cheers
