rode the all British ride sponsored by the BSA Owners Club of Northern Calif. yesterday and had an excellent time, probably 150+ bikes and maybe more Commandos than any other bike, at least 20....anyway here are a few photos, mostly Nortons but also an incredible Vincent Special

None of the images come up on my computer - tried two different browsers. Are others seeing them OK?

my error w/ Picasa links, fixed now....

Nice.
It is nice to see just classics in the pictures.
If you go on a classic run in England, it is impossible to get a photo of that many bikes without a few modern japanese ones amongst them. AArgh!
And your weather is better.

That's a great assemblage there Bluto. Thanks for the pics.

Pretty good ride this year. It was a bit farther than I thought. Just looked at the odometer and round trip was 230 miles from my house to ride start in Novato, on the ride and return.

Don Danmier said a bit down on riders, around 150. In the past it's closer to 200.
Thanks for the photos. I'm in the fourth picture down with black baseball hat - red helmet is on my Commando.

I rode behind a Vincent Rapide for several miles. A nice comparison to the Commando. There were several singles including pushrod and cammy Nortons, BSA Goldstars and Rudges. A lot of Commandos out there. :)

So glad to see your pictures : I got so lost in the beginning , driving the chase truck, that I did not make it at any stops but the start and the finish. Thanks God there was no bikes to p-up on the road....

Wow. Looks like a great ride.

There's something about the beautiful red (orange?) bike in the first shot that I really like - a "standard" looking Commando.

glad people enjoyed the photos, first time I've done this ride but plan to return every year if possible, and it really was good that it was all British, "no exceptions" would not have been the same otherwise...here are a few more pictures
