Side Kick Stand questions;

I have a 71 750 Commando; it came with a spare side stand and spring, The bike has a post protruding downward on the L forward frame; this appears to be original and takes a washer and c-spring clip to secure it to the bike, does anyone know where the spring attaches and if these are prone to failure.

Yes, changing to 72 onwards type is preferred


plus there may be an upgrade around if you want to keep the pin type ?
