I've just pulled my inlet rocker shaft out, and the ball end came out of the rocker whilst I've been knocking.
It pushes back in with the hole lined up but I thought it should be an interference fit or tight fit, I'm worried it'll spin when the bikes hot!
Do I have a problem or not?

Yes it should be a tight fit. A new ball may fix it but the wear is probably in the arm.

A little 70% silver brazing rod applied to the top would fix it. Jim

Thanks for the reply Jim, is the problem that it would spin and therefore misalign the oil holes, or that it might come out?.
If it's accase of stopping it spinning could I centre punch between the ball shaft and the arm from the top?
or is a new arm the best bet, long-term?

I doubt that it would come out but it could turn and block the oil hole.
I'm not so sure a punch mark would keep it stationary for very long.
I would silver braze it. Jim
